The “Dubíček” Pond,” located between the villages of Drslavice and Tupadly in the Klatovy region, is the perfect spot for anyone looking to take a break from the everyday worries of life and enjoy some time in the complete tranquility of the picturesque Pošumaví region—exclusively for one reservation (or possibly with a group of friends)—meaning you’ll always be alone by the pond, in peace and quiet—undisturbed by anyone. Only in the early morning hours might you spot some cute little fawns moving about in your vicinity. The location is set aside from all the main roads leading around Klatovy, so you don’t have to worry about heavy traffic bothering you from morning to night; however, it’s possible that occasionally a car might pass by on the secondary road, a plane with skydivers might fly overhead, or there might be training taking place on the motocross track located over the hill. Instead, you can enjoy swimming in the pond (or head to a nearby abandoned sandpit, or the municipal pool, which also features a sauna and a water slide). Fishing (right at the pond, or along the nearby Úhlava River and its adjacent oxbow lakes and pools), boating, sitting by a campfire in the evening, or exploring the many interesting places in the surrounding area. For beautiful views, hike to the top of Doubrava Hill (on whose slope the pond is located), and if you’re lucky, in good weather you’ll be able to see all the way to the Alps, as the locals say 
If you enjoy bike rides, you’ll be pleased to find many bike trails in the immediate vicinity. If you’re athletic, you can use the local tennis court with an artificial surface for free—it’s perfect for tennis, foot tennis, or even volleyball. Climbers, on the other hand, will enjoy the opportunity to climb the Tupadelské Rocks. The surrounding forests are also rich in mushrooms, so you’ll have no trouble gathering enough for a mushroom omelet during the right season.
History lovers can head to Klatovy, just 5 km away, and stroll through its historic center. Or they can explore the beautiful and well-preserved Eneolithic fortified settlement at Doubrava, the burial mounds in the nearby Husín Forest, or follow in the footsteps of the film *Cinderella* and drive all the way to Švihov Water Castle.
Adding to the beauty of this location is the fact that it’s just a 40-minute drive from Železná Ruda and other centers in the Šumava forests, yet it remains perfectly peaceful and quiet. For geocaching enthusiasts, Dubíček is the ideal starting point. There are plenty of interesting “caches” hidden in the immediate vicinity, offering stunning views of the valley. A fire grate, a solar pressure shower, a fire pot, and small tools (hatchet, saw, etc.) are available. Upon agreement with the owner, guests may spend the night in a renovated cabin on the property.

A 600 W power inverter with a car battery is available—suitable for charging phones for free—or a 1.8 kW generator for 150 CZK/day (gasoline). Both are inverters suitable even for sensitive electronic devices. By arrangement, it is possible to rent a well-equipped RV for a reasonable price in the neighboring village.
