A piece of land for a night at the pond near Albert Rocks

New for 2024: the saw for cutting longer wood for the fire, which some of you already know from last year. This year, we've added a log and a hatchet so you can chop larger wood yourself.

Do you like the peace of the pond, the views into the distance where at night the frogs are singing, the occasional cow mooing, deer passing by, ducks flying by, something rustling in the reeds...., you just keep the fire going somewhere in the middle of nowhere and you are at peace and in total harmony?

Maybe this is the place that will amaze you.

Plus, it's (almost) guaranteed that you'll be there all alone.

This place is only for 1 family (1 caravan or tent). 2km away you will find, for example, the Drbákov - Albertovy skály Protected Landscape Area (more info at https://www.stezky.info/naucne-stezky-stredni-cechy/ns-drbakov-albertovy-skaly.htm ), where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the Vltava Cascade from the rocks, and on the way you can even take a dip in the Vltava River (for swimming and eating we recommend the Andělská Laguna camping site in Častobor - https://www.kempslapy.cz/cs/ ).

There is a fireplace and wood available (use either cut under a tarp or lying in a pile cut down - not yet cut). There is no toilet yet, but we plan to place a latrine with a bio or chemical toilet inside and a view of the countryside (when it is, we will update the offer). We plan to collect drinking water from the roof of the latrine and the tool/equipment house, possibly from the pond (not part of our property).

In addition to the classic camping gear, we recommend bringing plenty of drinking water, good spirits and a desire to enjoy some quiet time in the "semi-wilderness".

Where to go for food or basic ingredients:
We recommend a bakery with a café and basic food in Křepenice, where they have quite long opening hours even on weekends ( https://www.pekarnakrepenice.cz/ ).

Highlights / other recommendations:

1. The access road from the road to the campsite is a bit tricky, but don't be scared, a skilled driver can carefully reach the destination even with a classic car :).

2. Please keep up to date with the latest information on campfire permits. Evening bonfires are great, so if you use a fire pit, never leave it unattended and always ensure it is completely extinguished at the end of the burn (there is plenty of water in the pond for this purpose :)).

3. Recommended maximum car size: Caravan type e.g. Peugeot Boxer L4H3. Larger motorhomes may have problems getting to and from the campsite especially on wet surfaces.

4. I recommend a compact caravan with a maximum weight of 750kg. With larger motorhomes you may have problems not only manoeuvring into the site, but also driving away, especially on wet surfaces. Of course here it depends on the caravan that is towing the trailer :).

5. As the campsite is in an agricultural area, it is possible (especially in the summer months) that during your stay there will be various crop or livestock activities taking place in the surrounding fields and meadows. We are not able to influence the extent or timing of this work. We apologise in advance for any disruption to your stay and thank you for your understanding.

On the other hand, watching these activities (e.g. ploughing, sowing or harvesting) can be a great experience (not only) for children, as it is the case with our family :). It always depends on everyone's point of view, so we hope that you will always enjoy your stay with us as much as possible :).

6. After your stay, please take your rubbish away and clean your campsite so that it is ready for your next stay :).
