Where do the property ratings come from?
Access to the property is via a fairly narrow road with no possibility of avoiding two oncoming vehicles. Fortunately there is very little traffic. We found a site on a grassed area completely level, within 20m cable reach of an electricity pole. There is a beautiful view of the Novohradky Mountains from here and by evening the car was already in the shade of a nearby grove of trees, which came in handy in the very warm weather. The land is in the middle of meadows with cattle paddocks, so you have to prepare for the occasional whiff of home, but we didn't mind. It also makes it wonderfully peaceful though. The land is currently in a state of development. It does have running water for washing though, and a pretty clean Toyka toilet.
The upside is the owner's very helpful attitude to dealing with your requirements. The place is a very good starting point for lovers of cycling and culture. Within easy reach are Nové Hrady, the fortress of Žumberk, the monastery in Borovany, etc.
