Our property is located in the picturesque landscape of the Broumov Uplands, on a plateau near Police nad Metují in the village of Bezděkov nad Metují, with a direct view of the Ostaš table mountain,the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks, the Jestřebí Mountains, and the Krkonoše Mountains.Its location at an elevation of 485 meters above sea level also offers magnificent views of the Broumov Walls, the Polish Góry Stołowe (Table Mountains—Bor and Hejšovina), and, with just a turn of the head, the Orlické Mountains.In addition to the views, it is an ideal starting point for trips to the most visited places in the area, such as Teplice nad Metují, Adršpach, Broumov,Hronov, Červený Kostelec, Trutnov, Náchod, or Karlów in Poland, as well as the picturesque surrounding villages along the border—Machov, Machovská Lhota, Bělý, Vysoká Srbská, or even Slavný.
It’s a peaceful spot on the outskirts of an even more tranquil village, near the “Nebeský” pond.
Near the property is a building unoccupied by the owner, with a fenced-in, well-maintained garden....Well, the house is unoccupied, but during the summer months we need to tend to the garden, so we occasionally pop by, water what needs watering, gather whatever harvest the snails have left us, and then—in true English fashion—we disappear again.
You can buy everyday groceries locally or take advantage of the services at the family-run hotel “Na Mýtě.”
... and WE PROMISE that you’ll have the property all to yourselves, but if you’d like to come with family or friends and voluntarily share your space, we’ll definitely work something out :o)

Popular mountain bike trails in the Trutnov area, known as the Trutnov Trails—approximately 37 km in the Čížkovy kameny and Jestřebí Mountains region—with a starting point, for example, in Markoušovice, below the beautiful Markoušovice observation tower.
There are also many marked bike trails for lovers of not only mountain biking, which can be combined with bike buses, for example, to Karlów in Poland or the Krkonoše Mountains.
WE RECOMMEND taking the bike bus to the Krkonoše Mountains and from there cycling from Pomezní Budy (Horní Malá Úpa crossing) on the Polish side or through the Czech towns of Horní Lysečiny and Albeřice back to our little house on wheels ☺

not in the pond, certainly in the surroundings...we are not fishermen, so we have no knowledge.... but certainly in the Rozkoš reservoir...there we were chased by fishermen as swimmers several times and the hook in our leg was proof of that

Around here, no matter where you look, there’s always a hiking trail leading that way☺ Once you’ve warmed up “just around the corner” at Vysoká Srbská and its observation tower, you’ll walk through the Maršov Valley along the Metuje River, hike up the table mountain Ostaš,run through the Broumov Walls with a stop at Božanovský Špičák and the unique viewpoint at Koruna, the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks with the ruins of Bischofstein Castle, the Čáp Lookout Tower, or Křížový Hill,the Javoří and Jestřebí Mountains with the Žaltman and Markoušovická observation towers, “huff and puff” your way up to Ruprechtický Špičák with another great observation tower—and you’ll be well-prepared for the Krkonoše Mountains within sight.And if that’s not enough for you, the Góry Stołowe are here for you. The Polish “rock cities” of Błędne Skały (Bludné skály) with their rock labyrinth, the table mountain Szczeliniec Wielki (919 m) (traditionally known in Czech as Hejšovina) and its mountain hut, numerous viewing platforms, and a deep, dark gorge where you’ll get a taste of “Pekélko.”
We recommend taking the local bike bus, which stops right in Bezděkov nad Metují, and setting out on a beautiful hike across the Broumov Walls along the Karlów–Slavný–Police nad Metují ridge trail.
And if that’s still not enooouugh for you, you can join the Trail Through Bohemia here and return to us from the other side… but then don’t forget to extend your stay☺☺☺ After this trip, even your shoes will need a vacation ☺
History lovers should definitely not leave without visiting picturesque Broumov and the Broumov Monastery.The area around Broumov is home to a group of Baroque churches known as the “Broumov Group,” which also includes the Church of St. Prokop in Bezděkov; their unique atmosphere is definitely worth a “STOP.”
During the summer months, these churches host concerts by Czech and international artists. Concerts take place every Saturday during the summer holidays at 6:00 p.m.; admission is by donation, and the proceeds go toward the upkeep of these churches. Check the current program at www.zapoklady.cz....and if you’re in the right place at the right time, an unforgettable experience is guaranteed☺ This year’s concert at St. Prokop Church in Bezděkov nad Metují will take place on August 1, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. YOU ARE ♥ INVITED ♥ New this summer are Wednesday tours of St. Prokop Church from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

For pond lovers ☺ Our little pond called HEAVENLY because it has no inflow and is fed only by "water that fell from the sky" or subsurface water from local historic HILLS, located a few steps from the property.The ingenuity of our ancestors is definitely worth seeing ...and if you are lucky this sultry summer,they will be full as well as the pond ☺...but if the HALTIRES dry up and the sky doesn't shrink,our pond will be empty too... ☺ I hope it won't spoil your good mood ☺

Nice quiet place, has its charm in the sun and rain, the owner is relaxed and fine. Everything was fine.
Super site in semi secluded area, if you have a dog runner you will have to watch him, but otherwise great.
