Banat, a vast region stretching across parts of Romania, Serbia and Hungary, is home to a rich mosaic of ethnic groups, including a small but significant Czech community. Czech settlers arrived in the area in the 19th century, seeking refuge from economic and social hardships in Bohemia. They established several villages such as Gerník, Rovensko, Sv. Helena and others, where they have maintained their traditional customs, language and cultural heritage to this day. These villages, characterised by their resilience and preservation of Czech identity in a foreign environment, are a valuable testimony of adaptation and survival. The Czech Banat attracts the attention not only of tourists, but also of historians and anthropologists who study its unique culture and history.

We will be happy to invite you to this site without camping and with your caravan or tent.
You must take the Banat as it is. With its simple environment that may not suit everyone. Don't count on luxurious facilities. The time and environment is a little different here. Just like Grandma's XY years ago.


**In the farm yard.
This is the original building where you can use the paved parking, the yard, for your caravan or motorhome. In case of interest, it is also possible to use the adjacent orchard for camping.
Please allow for the normal traffic that may be in the farmhouse and also for other guests who may be staying in the farmhouse.

You will be rewarded with unforgettable encounters with the local people, learning about a part of our history and a charming landscape.
There are marked hiking trails in the area for hikers and cyclists.

By prior agreement with the landlord, it is possible to use the facilities in the house (showers, toilet...)

The price is negotiable on the spot. As a rough guide, expect to pay approximately 400 - 500 CZK per car and crew. Payment can be made in local currency, euro or Czech crown.
