Our stay was just in time for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the aeroclub, so there were lots of visitors, aircraft on display and a lot of activity on the runway. However, we still had plenty of quiet in the camping area. Even in normal traffic, I suppose you have to take into account that there is traffic at the airport. But the actual camping area with the fire pit is aside from all the hustle and bustle. The facilities in the operations building are very nice - clean and good looking toilets and showers. You can gather firewood in the adjacent woods. The meadow is spacious and level enough. For flying fans, this is the perfect plot.
Absolutely great place, we can highly recommend it. Beautiful meadow, shade of trees, beautiful new clean toilets, for children sandpit, swings, trampoline. Perfect starting point for trips to the surrounding area. The kids were thrilled to see gophers and planes, a really wonderful experience. Views of Trosky, Bezděz and Ještěd as a bonus.
