We pitched our tent on the upper part of the lot, above the house; in the morning, we were woken up by the neighbors’ chickens. The neighbor across the street was playing loud music outside. The lot had been mowed, with plenty of flat space for a tent; there was pleasant shade under the mature trees, and the fire pit was perfectly prepared, including water in a bucket for dousing the fire. Firewood was available. The outhouse was fine, and toilet paper was provided. A longtime resident from the house above the property came to greet us and pointed out the well next to the house, which is covered with old planks and logs (see photo) to prevent his daughter from falling in. He also invited us to another event taking place in the village this summer. The village has a rich cultural life. On Friday, there was an outdoor movie screening.
