I offer a beautiful forest land adjacent to a flooded quarry with swimming (about 50 meters from the campsite). The site is located on the edge of the cottage settlement Roviště - it is not a remote solitude - and is one of the favourite destinations of climbers and nature lovers. The location is an ideal starting point for a variety of activities: just a ten-minute walk from the property there are rock climbing routes and the Vltava River suitable for swimming, in the vicinity there are hiking trails and bike paths. The nearby pub in the Roviště campsite (currently out of operation) also offers pleasant facilities.

The property is really very nice. We got water for rinsing from the nearby quarry. As soon as we arrived, the kids immediately started running and climbing all over the rocks and had a great time. Of course, Bella, the female beagle, came over to say hello. Thanks to previous reviews, we knew her name, so we became friends right away. She came to see us every day—she’s probably used to keeping an eye on what’s going on around here.

In the evening, we could hear some faint noise from the neighboring cabin below the property, but fortunately, nothing too loud. Mostly, we just heard a happy child playing. It didn’t bother us at all, but if you’re looking for complete solitude, it’s good to know that even though it may seem that way at first glance, you’re not entirely alone here.

A big plus is that the campsite is truly in the woods, under the trees. In the morning, the tree canopies provided pleasant shade, so we didn’t wake up sweaty right at sunrise. And the darkness of the night was amazing. On a clear night, the view of the stars was absolutely fascinating to me, as someone who’s lived in a big city for a long time.

But please don’t take this as a review of the campsite; rather, consider it a heads-up for future visitors. The campsite is clearly very popular—according to the reservations, there were only a few dates left. And unfortunately, not every visitor behaves as they should. Someone had left a mess behind before we arrived. Upon arrival, we picked up vodka bottle caps, a pâté box, scattered tomatoes, and other trash.

Even more unpleasant was that someone had poured a sweet liquid over the large rocks around the fire pit, which attracted wasps from far and wide. And the smell of urine next to the fire pit—practically right in our campsite—didn’t exactly add to the romance either. Of course, this isn’t the landowner’s fault, but unfortunately that of some visitors. With the site being so busy, it’s probably impossible to prevent this entirely.

Despite all these minor issues, we enjoyed our stay and can recommend the place. Just keep in mind that if you arrive after someone less considerate, you may need to do a little cleaning up first.

Getting there is a bit of a challenge. As mentioned in other reviews, you do turn left between the red posts, and about 50 meters further on there’s a right turn. Unfortunately, there aren’t any signs marking the way at all. If you have a car with a lower suspension, you’ll probably have a bit of trouble getting there. The path is full of tree roots, rocks, and sometimes even potholes about 30 cm deep. It’s a beautiful spot for camping. The fire pit is set aside from the tents, which is great because your belongings won’t get the smell of the fire. There are quite a few wasps, so if you’re allergic, you’d better bring your medication. Overall, I rate this spot positively :-)
6.7 - 8.7.2026 Markéta říká:
A beautiful, deserted spot. There are two small flooded quarries nearby. Just be careful when you arrive. Our GPS, like that of some other wild campers, led us into the woods one turn too far, so we got a little lost. So, after the large parking lot with trash cans on the left, take the first left turn!
21.6 - 22.6.2026 Dominika říká:
An absolutely beautiful, clean place (yes, the outhouse smells, but that’s to be expected from a toilet :). We arrived in the rain, so we spent the night all by ourselves with our baby and our dog, and got to enjoy the place and the quarry all to ourselves. We’ll definitely be back, even though it’s on the other side of the country.
13.6 - 14.6.2026 Zuzana říká:
An amazing place. Complete peace and quiet. Sometimes you can hear people from the cabin next door—which you can’t see—but it was very rare, so it didn’t bother us at all. Of course, my beagle came along too 😅. She’s obviously been trained to come along on every BezKemp visit 😀 The quarry is right around the corner. Beautiful fire pit. Clean restrooms. Top marks from me.
