A magical place, it had everything on offer.

Nice place, we were lucky and most of the time the cows that had a pen were very close to the cabin. The cabin is in a place where there is a lot of privacy - we didn't see or hear anyone nearby. The only minus was the hunters shooting which was not very pleasant. There are a lot of farm animals in the area - sheep, cows, horses, poultry, llamas,... especially towards Seeberg Castle. I also recommend a trip to the Goethe Rock. The place is not very good for short walks - romantic by the fire or longer hikes. There are no forest paths near the cottage, for example... We had quite a bit of rain, but I believe the night sky would be beautiful to watch at this spot. :-)

The cottage has the most beautiful spacious terrace surrounded by forest. Don't forget the tick guns and kindling paper, otherwise there is absolutely everything from axe to kerosene for lamps. Even empty jerry cans were available if anyone wanted to jump under the hill to get water for the creek. We were a bit unlucky with the bees and wasps that had just taken up residence with us and were buzzing around our sleeping bags. Otherwise, a nice place, tucked away and yet not far from Hazel. A leisurely walk through the woods takes you to Seeberg, which you can walk with your dog, and on the way you'll come across a pen full of sheep and llamas. In the hot summer you probably can't stay at the cottage much, but from autumn to spring it's a nice place for a weekend break.
