We stayed in the trailers with the kids. They have a soul of their own, with a few scratches here and there. But if you turn a blind eye to the scratches and the weathered deck, you’ll see just how wonderfully cozy they are. And you won’t experience that immediate connection with the elements in any other kind of house. Yet, unlike in a tent, you’ll stay dry and safe even during a storm.
For individuals, couples, and families. If you have a little one, you’ll fit comfortably in the large trailer. Older children can take over the adjacent two-story trailer for an additional fee. If you’re a large family, you can set up a tent next to the trailer by arrangement, or park a RV with friends next to the trailer by the fire pit.
FALL/WINTER/SPRING
During the colder months, you won’t want to leave the crackling fireplace at all. All you need is a mug of tea and a good book—we have a few here—and you won’t need anything else...
We prefer not to rent out the small trailer to children in the winter, because it needs to be heated, and the stove isn’t exactly foolproof. However, if you’re outdoorsy and can handle Spartan conditions, we can work something out.
Please note: In OCTOBER, we’ll be away, so the trailer will operate on a self-service basis. You’ll bring your own sheets, fill up your own water, and clean up after yourselves… So nothing complicated :)

toilet
- A composting outhouse where you’ll feel nothing but relief. You won’t flush your waste down a slide with drinking water—instead, you’ll empty it into the compost pile before you leave. If that doesn’t appeal to you, you can either use a shovel to dispose of it in nature, or there’s a facility nearby with a flush toilet and shower—for an additional fee of 60 Kč per day for the toilet and shower, or 30 Kč per day for the toilet only. You can leave the fee in the trailer.
This service is not available in winter. The water is drained to prevent freezing.

- Water in a hose right next to the trailer.
During the winter months (approximately late October through mid-April), water is available in jugs, with the option to fill up from the well.

- In the trailer. Always on.

- During the summer you can use the solar shower and toilet in the adjacent area. (approx. 100 m, for a fee of 60 CZK/person/day). If necessary, leave money in the marquee. In winter the water does not flow.

- There are wood-burning stoves in the marquees. Wood is available in the wood shed.
Access to the property may be difficult in rainy weather
There may be puddles on the road in the rain or after a rain. Increased caution. In winter, if there is snow, parts of the road may be impassable. Then it is possible to park in the public car park at the airport Jihlava, turn off the road to Polna, and walk 500 metres. Text for up-to-date info.

Two ski slopes a few km by car. Šacberk and a chairlift in Luky nad Jihlavou.
When it snows, you can cross-country ski beautifully here.
water sports
A small natural lake is 100 metres from the marquee. The little ones love it. A little past the marquee, on the blue, a larger pond in the woods.
In Luki nad Jihlavou, a great swimming pool at popular prices, in Jihlava an aquapark. Both ten minutes by car.
activities for kids
Children feel like in paradise here. They can fly on the grass, fool around in the pond, there is a swing and a hammock, goats and chickens in the area next door. There are no cars. They're free. Watch out for the rooster.

Trips to Polná, or along the Jihlava River, for example to Roštejn...
Try the Kolnička and Dolnička pub in Luky. A classic pub in Bítovčice, where the food is excellent.
The nearest Pilsner beer in Heroltice, but without hot food.
Two snack bars U Čmeláka and Bumbejbar right at the airport.
Other activities
We can arrange a sightseeing flight (2000 CZK/30 min) and a parachute jump. A tour of the hangar with historic aircraft, if we are there or you see someone inside, is possible on request.
A wooden trailer has its own special charm. We want to share that charm with you. And we’d be happy if you’d help us preserve it. That’s why everyone is welcome in our trailer—as long as you make yourselves at home here. With respect for the place that was once our home and that we continue to visit with love.
Please bring your own sleeping bags.
There are no blankets or bedding in the trailer.
Parking:
Park at the side of the road right next to the trailers, leaving enough space for vehicles to pass by. Occasionally, large loaders carrying felled timber drive through here.
I don’t even lock my car here; I leave the keys in the ignition. But that’s up to you :-)
Getting Around:
The trailers are located on a section of a family property adjacent to the Jihlava Airport. For safety reasons, the public is not allowed access to the runway or the hangar area. On the private grounds, you can enjoy a natural pond, a fire pit, and—in the main building—showers and flush toilets, if the outhouse isn’t to your liking. Which is highly unlikely, though. You’ll see :-D
In the fenced-in area, there are also goats and chickens. There’s one local mutt, Rony, of medium size, and a dog named Mája.
You’ll often run into local regulars of all ages and genders here.
However, you’ll have your privacy in the trailer behind the bushes and trees.
Please observe quiet hours and the rules of good behavior. Other non-campers with small children may be camping in the neighboring area...
Don’t leave trash behind. You can use the nearby black trash bin for mixed waste. Please take plastics and glass with you.
Gather branches from the surrounding area for your campfire. You can use the chopped wood in the woodshed for the stove, if needed. Do not use it for an outdoor fire.
Enjoy the peace and relaxation. Unwind. And if you can’t, there’s Wi-Fi and electricity available.

A great adventure for city folks ;) We tried almost everything campers can do. The trailer had almost everything we needed, and it’s so peaceful there.
It's slowly starting to become a beautiful green place again; the cleared forest is beginning to grow back. The area around the trailer is beautifully green.
A cozy little trailer where people actually lived—not one of those that are all identically furnished and set up for rent. It has its own character, which we really appreciated :) There’s a great pond near the forest nearby, and the historic part of Jihlava is within walking distance. We also appreciated the layout of the different areas for the fire, relaxation, and cooking—all on a small plot of land, but brilliantly designed. The people living in the area are friendly, so if you’re looking for some company, you can stop by for a quick chat and pet the goats. We’d love to come back sometime, and thank you for letting us stay!
A beautiful trailer with a story behind it. We just weren’t lucky when choosing the dates for our stay. With temperatures outside climbing toward 40 degrees and a kids’ camp going on right next door on the grounds, we couldn’t even get to the nature area. But the surroundings were beautiful. And those sunsets—oh my... Thank you.
We planned our vacation in the trailer well in advance. It was our Christmas gift, so by the time we got there, we’d already forgotten what it looked like in the photos. And in reality, the trailer and its surroundings are even more beautiful than in the photos. You can feel its history all around you there. The nearby train can be used for other trips, including bike rides.
