The Smrčiny Quarry lies at the edge of the forest and meadows at the entrance to the Aš Promontory. An old flooded quarry, just four campsites, and plenty of space all combine to create an unforgettable atmosphere for you.
Peace and quiet are what our guests value most. That’s why the Smrčiny Quarry is intended primarily for adult visitors who come to relax, read, swim, or simply sit by the water. Neither the nature of the site nor the open body of water is suitable for typical family vacations with small children.

* Site No. 1—“Frog”—is intended for caravans and RVs.
If you’re traveling in two groups, we recommend also booking
* Site No. 2 – “Lizard,” which are located close to each other.
* Site No. 3 – “Dragonfly” offers plenty of space even for a large RV
* Site No. 4 – “Grasshopper” is also suitable for tent camping.

During the day, you can swim, paddleboard, dive, or just sit on the shore and watch the play of light on the water’s surface. In the evening, silence descends, accompanied by the crackling of the fire and a sky full of stars.
For your convenience, each site has drinking water and an electrical hookup available; both are included in the price.
You can also enhance your stay with an unconventional self-service sauna in the sauna grove. The combination of a hot sauna and the refreshing water of the quarry creates an unforgettable experience.
The surrounding area offers beautiful hiking and biking trails, historic towns in western Bohemia, observation towers, and the natural attractions of the Smrčiny Mountains. Important Information
The quarry is not suitable for small children. The edge of the quarry is 2–6 meters above the water level along its entire perimeter and is not secured against falls. Most of the quarry is approximately 9 meters deep, with only one shallow area.
We ask all guests to respect the peaceful nature of the site and to be considerate of other visitors.

- On the plot there is a possibility to refill and use drinking water. The stand has a post with a water tap. During the winter, the posts are without water, but there is the possibility to draw water directly in the shaft at the borehole. Hose available.

- Connection to the power socket in the electric socket at each station. 220V EU and caravan socket (three-wheel). Possibility to recharge electronics or electric bikes. Charging of electric car by arrangement.

Greywater (shower, washing)
- As long as you use eco means, I have no problem if you dump the water on the property outside the stand in the grass. Otherwise, please take the water contaminated by conventional means away.
Chemical toilet
- You will be given instructions.
Trouble-free arrival even in bad weather
The last 300 m or so is on an older asphalt road, broken in places - even larger caravans can easily drive up, just expect ruts in the asphalt; the profile of the road is regularly maintained so that branches do not scratch. Even in the winter months you can reach the quarry - just be respectful of the conditions. The meadow path to stand 4 is passable depending on the amount of snow, but it is not maintained.
Restriction of the access road

cycling
One of the 11 cycling routes in Aš leads directly around the quarry. This area has the densest network of cycling routes in the Karlovy Vary Region. Ride through the PP Smrčiny between Cheb and Aš, or head across the border to the German Naturpark Fichtelgrbirge.
winter sports
On the frozen surface you can skate in the quarry under suitable conditions. Watch out for holes in the ice - the quarry is frequented by hardy people! Trips on cross-country skis or snowshoes through the white silence are magical here.
water sports
Swimming is possible directly in the clean water of the quarry. Under the roof, you can take a dip in the Aquaforum Františkovy lázně (9km) or in the city spa in Bad Brambach (14km) or Bad Elster (24km).

hiking
Wander to the places J.W. Goethe liked to visit (Goethe's Rock, Chamber Hill). The circular route near Vernéřov will take you through the history of the region. On the German side, the Vogtland Panorama Weg, which is appreciated by tourists, leads through Bad Brambach.
sauna/wellness
U lomu jsme vytvořili malý saunový háj, kde je možnost si pronajmout stavovou saunu s kamny na dřevo. Více se dozvíte po domluvě s majitelem.
Také máte možnost zavítat do několika nedalekých wellness center. např.
na Komorní hůrce (https://komornihurka.eu/…ss/) nebo saunová vesnice v Bad Brambachu. Další typy viz. kapitola koupání.
Animals
Mazlíčci jsou vítáni, pokud nenarušují klid místa:
- Musí být pod kontrolou (ideálně na vodítku)
- Nesmí chodit k cizím stáním
- Po zvířatech je třeba uklízet
Pokud pes reaguje na vše štěkotem, nebude pro toto místo vhodný. Ticho je zde společnou hodnotou.

Please treat the furnishings with care. Please observe the rules and regulations of the local Smrčiny Nature Park.Do not make noiseIt is a condition of the property and its immediate surroundings that you keep quiet at all times during your stay, including at night. It is forbidden to play loud music and thus disturb the whole surroundings.Do not fishFishing is forbidden. Please respect the life of the fish that bravely live in this "hungry water". You can feed them and you will be rewarded by their dancing around the food thrown in. Do not throw stones, sticks or other objects into the quarry.Do not set fireOnly a fire in a designated fire pit is allowed on the property. Do not cut live trees for firewood. The fire must be kept under constant control and properly extinguished when finished. Quiet place, standing lizard, beautiful view of the quarry.
A beautiful place by a deep quarry on the edge of the forest. Even though there were other caravans parked around, we didn't know about each other. Amazing peace.
This property isn't just a place to sleep. It's a place where you wake up in the morning to silence punctuated only by birdsong and fall asleep in the evening under a sky full of stars. The atmosphere has something that is hard to find today - peace, freedom and a real contact with nature. Great communication with the owner, who tried his best to accommodate us
