It's spring. Take the time to slow down, breathe, and disappear from the hustle and bustle of the world for a while. Come to anchor at a flooded quarry with clear water, surrounded by forests, meadows and the quiet landscape of the Aš promontory.

The open, unprotected water and the emphasis on tranquillity naturally create a place especially for adult couples and singles.

Site 3 "dragonfly" is intended for caravans and motorhomes. At the quarry there are only 4 pitches other options can be found on the link in the profile above "pitches 1,2,4" If you want to camp the option offers pitch 4. If you are travelling together two caravans ideally book together pitches 1. "frog" and 2. "lizard".

You can also make your stay more pleasant with an unusual self-service sauna in the sauna grove. The combination of cool quarry water and hot sauna creates a unique experience that you will want to repeat.

The quarry lies on the border of forest and pastures in the undiscovered Smrčiny Nature Park, only 7 km from Františkovy Lázně. You can take a walk in the woods, cycle along the cycle path next to the quarry or just enjoy the tranquillity by the water.

Those who are hardier will enjoy swimming in the clear water, while others will enjoy the comfort of a fire with a view of the water.

For your convenience, each site has potable water and electricity - both are included in the price.

The quarry is not suitable for small children. The edge of the quarry is 2-6m above the surface all around and is not fall-proofed. Most of the quarry is about 9 m deep, with only one spot of shallow water (about 1 m).
The site is intended for quiet relaxation in nature. Please consider whether a stay with children is suitable and whether you can maintain the peaceful nature of the site.

Františkovy Lázně (7 km), Cheb Monument Zone (14 km), Vildštejn Castle (12 km), Seeberg Castle (5 km), Háj u Aše lookout tower (14 km), Soos Geological Park (14 km), Komorní hůrka (12 km) or Goethe Rocks (5 km) are located nearby. Across the border you can visit the town of Selb or the rock labyrinth Luisenburg.

Greywater (shower, washing) - As long as you use eco-means, we have no problem if you dump the water on the property outside the stand into the grass. Otherwise, please take away water contaminated by conventional means.

Trouble-free arrival even in bad weather

The last 300 m or so is on an older asphalt road, broken in places - even larger caravans can easily drive up, just expect ruts in the asphalt; the profile of the road is regularly maintained so that branches do not scratch. Even in the winter months you can reach the quarry - just be respectful of the conditions. Stall number 2 has a slightly downhill approach and could be a mess with the exit.

One of the 11 cycling routes in Aš leads directly around the quarry. This area has the densest network of cycling routes in the Karlovy Vary Region. Ride through the Smrčiny PP between Cheb and Aš, or ride across the border to the German Naturpark Fichtelgrbirge

winter sports

Trips on cross-country skis or snowshoes through the white silence are magical here. There is a public ski slope in Háj u Aše. You can skate on the frozen surface in the quarry under suitable conditions. Beware of holes in the ice - the quarry is frequented by hardy people!

water sports

Swimming is possible directly in the clean water of the quarry. Under the roof you can bathe in the Aquaforum Františkovy lázně (9km) or in the city spa in Bad Brambach (14km) where there is a sauna village or in Bad Elster (24km).

Wander to the places J.W. Goethe liked to visit (Goethe's Rock, Chamber Hill). The circular route near Vernéřov will take you through the history of the region. On the German side, the Vogtland Panorama Weg, which is appreciated by tourists, leads through Bad Brambach.

U lomu jsme vytvořili malý saunový háj, kde je možnost si pronajmout stavovou saunu s kamny na dřevo. Více se dozvíte po domluvě s majitelem.
Také máte možnost zavítat do několika nedalekých wellness center. např.
na Komorní hůrce (https://komornihurka.eu/…ss/) nebo saunová vesnice v Bad Brambachu. Další typy viz. kapitola koupání.

Animals

Mazlíčci jsou vítáni, pokud nenarušují klid místa:
- Musí být pod kontrolou (ideálně na vodítku)
- Nesmí chodit k cizím stáním
- Po zvířatech je třeba uklízet
Pokud pes reaguje na vše štěkotem, nebude pro toto místo vhodný. Ticho je zde společnou hodnotou.

RULES OF THE LOM
Do not damage
The land is located in beautiful countryside that needs to be protected. Please be respectful to the plants, animals and the whole surroundings. Please treat the furnishings with care. Please respect the rules and regulations of the local Nature Park Smrčiny.

Do not make noise
It is a condition of the property and its immediate surroundings that you keep quiet at all times during your stay, including at night. It is forbidden to play loud music and thus disturb the whole area.

Do not fish
No fishing. Please respect the life of the fish that bravely live in this "hungry water". You can feed them and you will be rewarded by their dancing around the food thrown in. Do not throw rocks, sticks or other objects into the quarry.

Do not set fire to
You are only allowed to light a fire on the property in a designated fire pit. Do not cut live trees for firewood. The fire must be kept under control at all times and properly extinguished when finished. Keep an eye on the current situation in the area unless there is a fire ban/extreme drought.

Don't bother
Prohibit the consumption of large quantities of alcohol and other addictive substances which may subsequently cause a nuisance to the surrounding area. Any such visitor will be excluded from the site and this will be done in the presence of the CR Police.

Courtesy and consideration
Please respect your neighbours and other visitors. Smokers please be considerate and do not litter cigarette butts.

Remember to clean up after yourself when you leave, i.e. take all rubbish with you or dispose of it in the designated areas.

This place is poetry. It's hard to describe the peace, the smell of the forest, the shade between the trees, the fantasy. Thanks to water and an outlet, one has all the luxuries, including a fragrant kadibudka. :)

The quarry is smaller than we thought. The 4 reservations are not heavily disturbed, but there is no privacy. The place is very nice, very nicely prepared, benches, flowers, slide, saunastan, toilet. Unfortunately, the water was already green in May :-(. The owner is nice, he tries to take care of the place with love. Thank you.
