We arrived relatively late, i.e. in the dark, so it was a bit of a problem to find the land - the GPS is really wrong - the crucial fact is that the land is south of the tracks, not north, so, as I think it has already been described - where the navigation will want to go left under the tracks, so continue straight on, past the municipal office and you can't miss it ... :-) Otherwise, the site is fine, tidy, fireplace, coffee and a beautiful view of Strečno (too bad it wasn't lit on Friday). I perceived the trains only until falling asleep, the road almost not at all.

In principle, the pitch is nice and has a great view of the castle. However, we didn't like it at all and had a pretty restless night with little sleep. This is because a train track runs along one side (quite close) and at the same time a gravel path leads directly past the site to 2 parking lots for hikers. The number of trains passing by was quite high, and there were also freight trains that were louder and regularly sounded their horns at night.
On the other side is the main access road with a lot of truck traffic. Unfortunately also all night long.

Nice plot with a view of the castle Strečno. There is a vending machine for coffee, snacks, kadibudka. We could have stayed on the property longer on the day of departure by arrangement with the owner.
I take a heart off for the wrong GPS coordinates and the crumbling kadibudka - it needs a bit of repair, it is falling apart inside. There is a train nearby, we didn't mind the caravan, I wouldn't visit the site with a tent.

Very nice place,on the outskirts of the village. There was a problem with navigation, Maps.cz, Google and Waze navigate in the wrong direction according to the coordinates. The owner gave great advice over the phone, they say only Czech navigation systems do this. So whoever is driving, once Waze will push you in the village to turn sharply left it's a trap. Keep going straight, the road is there, but Waze and Maps.cz can't see it. After about 4min you will have the land on your right.
The plot has been mowed, the kadibudka is standing :) the only thing I also (like others) point out is the nearby railway. Really close. About 20m from the plot. Apparently it is very much used, during the day a train every 10min. It's a rumble, but worse than that it has to honk before going into the nearby tunnel. It's quite loud... In the evening they run about twice an hour and they don't honk three times anymore, just once long. Still no hit parade, but the effort is worth it :) i was after a hike to the Big Krivan, so i just turned around and slept on. But it is necessary to point it out. Otherwise a great place as a base for hikes in the beautiful Mala Fatra.
