Where do the property ratings come from?
Beautiful place. We were lucky enough to be alone on the property, so we chose the most beautiful spot available - at the bottom in the meander of the creek. When the evening sounds of the village and roads died down, all that remained was the crackling of the fire and the bubbling of the river. The owners were beyond helpful, wood ready under a tarp (there is a money box in the tree above where you can donate - neither the wood nor the labour involved is free, so if you take wood...). The surroundings are beautiful - there is nothing nearby, just meadows, pastures, a path around the forest. Even other places on the property are situated so as to minimally interfere with each other.
Just one warning : Have the owners explain the way to the property. There is a sharp curve in one part of the path, a little further on even in dry weather there are waves and puddles, and a hill before the end, which due to the grassy surface maybe a little slippery for us. The access therefore precludes access with a caravan or motorhome.
