5th Mini Gathering of Non-Campers #4355

Dear non-campers,
We’d like to invite you once again to a friendly mini-get-together—our now-traditional winter mini-gathering.

Since this will be our fifth gathering in a row, I think we’ve earned the right to call our gatherings a tradition. And so, to mark this first “half-round” anniversary, I’ve tried to spruce up the program a bit, especially the cultural part.
Please accept our invitation to the 5th mini-gathering of the “no-campers”!

Event Program
Friday, February 19
• Arrivals, drop-offs, and departures of the “no-campers.”
• Evening gathering by the fire—which is really more like hanging out around the campfire.

Saturday, February 20
Exact times will be announced later.

Morning
• Travel talks in the cowshed.

Afternoon
• Feeding of big cats, meerkats, and kangaroos.
• Guided tour of the zoo.

Evening (6:00 PM) – main cultural program
Raffle
We’ll kick off Saturday evening with a raffle. Some prizes, a little suspense about who’ll take home what—and maybe luck will smile on someone.

A concert by the band HOP TROP, accompanied by a 20-piece big band orchestra in the cowshed!
You probably won’t experience a concert like this anywhere else. In HOP TROP’s nearly 50-year history, this lineup has only come together twice.
It will be a truly unique concert, during which HOP TROP will perform well-known songs like “Amazonka,” “Tři kříže,” and others, accompanied by a large big band orchestra featuring brass, woodwind, string, and rhythm sections.
In short, it’s something you really don’t see or hear very often. And on top of that, in a cowshed! :-)

After the concert, there will be an opportunity to hang out together some more in the cowshed.

Sunday, February 21
Gradual departures, goodbyes, and the journey home.

Practical Information
Capacity: maximum of 40 vehicles
Parking fee: 600 CZK for the entire weekend (Friday–Sunday)
Concert ticket: 700 CZK/person – payable on site.
Based on our experience from previous years, we’ve had to implement a measure allowing reservations only for the entire weekend.
Unfortunately, we’ve encountered cases where people made reservations only for Saturday through Sunday and actually came just for the evening program and concert. As a result, other non-campers who would have liked to arrive on Friday and participate in the entire gathering were unable to do so.
The purpose of our gathering is not the concert, but a get-together for non-campers. The concert is just a nice bonus.

What You Should Know
• Zoopark: You’ll have free access to the entire Zoopark Zelčín grounds throughout the event. At this time of year, visitor numbers are low, so we’ll practically have the zoopark all to ourselves.
• Dogs: Dogs are allowed, but only on a leash. Please do not bring dogs to the concert itself; they are welcome at the lectures without any issues.
• Concert tickets: They will be available for purchase directly from me; ideally, have the exact amount of 700 Kč per person ready. I recommend purchasing them as early as Friday.
• Electricity: Outlets are available on the fence posts. Please consider the length of your extension cord; if necessary, you can share the connection with a neighbor.
• Restroom facilities: There is a shower, a toilet, and a disposal point for chemical toilets on site. Additional restrooms are also available on the grounds or at the farm.
• Parking: On grass or paved ground. Equipment is available on site to assist with getting stuck vehicles unstuck. After all, February is February. :-)

One more important thing
Please follow the bezKemp code of conduct. Although this is a gathering, we still respect quiet hours and our neighbors. We do not tolerate any late-night revelry or similar activities.
All of our previous gatherings have always been peaceful, and I’m confident this one will be as well. After all, that’s one of the reasons we love bezKemp so much.
