GARDEN STELLPLATZ GALAMBOK - THERMAL BATHS ZALAKAROS #4490

On your way to the sea, stop by our Stellplatz in Galambok!! It’s only 34 km to the Croatian border!! And it doesn’t matter whether you’re heading on to Slovenia, Italy, or Albania. We’re looking forward to welcoming new visitors, and first come, first served… well, we’re not huge—just a small Stellplatz. So far, we’re the only Czechs living permanently in Hungary who have a Stellplatz!!!

PLEASE LOOK AT THE PHOTO SHOWING THE ACCESS ROAD TO THE PROPERTY! It’s difficult to park a trailer in front of the entrance gate to the house and then back up!

There are bike paths everywhere, all around Lake Balaton, and if you’re not sure where to go, we’d be happy to give you some advice!!! :-) It’s only 3 km by bike along the bike path to the Zalakaros thermal baths. The pools have varying temperatures, up to 42°C!!!

I’M ALREADY POSTING THIS EVERYWHERE I CAN, INCLUDING ON FB: BUY A 1- OR 10-DAY HIGHWAY VIGNETTE!!! IT’S NOT WORTH TRYING TO SAVE MONEY, EVEN EXPRESSWAYS ARE TOLL ROADS HERE, AND IT’S NOT WORTH RELYING ON BAD NAVIGATION—IT’LL COST YOU THOUSANDS IN FINES!!! A 10-DAY HIGHWAY VIGNETTE CURRENTLY COSTS 450 CZK, PAYABLE ONLINE!!! IF YOU DON’T HAVE ONE, YOU’LL JUST END UP EXTENDING YOUR TRIP BY UP TO SEVERAL HOURS!!! DON’T FOLLOW YOUR NAVIGATION SYSTEM’S SHORTEST ROUTE—TAKE THE FASTEST ONE INSTEAD!!! OTHERWISE, YOU’LL DRIVE TO US ON THE EXPRESSWAY, BUT THE LAST 110 KM WILL BE ON RURAL ROADS!! FILL UP YOUR TANK WELL IN ADVANCE—GAS STATIONS AREN’T THAT COMMON HERE!!! HIGHWAYS IN HUNGARY ARE MARKED IN BLUE!!!

AND ONE MORE THING ABOUT RESERVATIONS: EVEN IF YOU’VE STAYED WITH US BEFORE, IT’S NOT POSSIBLE TO MAKE A RESERVATION ON THE SAME DAY IN THE AFTERNOON OR EVENING!!! GUESTS COME TO US FROM THE STREET AND OTHER WEBSITES, SO IT CAN EASILY HAPPEN THAT WE’LL ALREADY BE FULL!!! OUR STELLPLATZ IS NOT A POP-UP SITE; IT HAS ONLY SEVEN SPOTS, INCLUDING SPACES FOR CARS!!

We no longer have a dog, so you’re welcome to bring your own pet!!! The fee for a dog is 50 CZK per night. Please watch out for our cats and others that wander into our garden!! However, your dog must be well-behaved and must not run loose on the property!!!

If you have any questions, just write to us and we’ll get back to you with the exact details. Before you book your stay, make sure you don’t need to be at a campground—a Stellplatz will be enough for you!!! It’s not the same thing!!! There are only 5 spots in the garden for caravans or RVs, and 2 spots for tents, but this can always be arranged. The spots are under mature walnut trees, so you’ll be in the shade most of the day. We allow a maximum of 4 people (up to 5), one tent, or one family per spot! For additional people, we’ll charge an extra 100 Kč per person!
The electrical connection cannot be used for heating or air conditioning. There is also a drain for gray water from dishes and chemical toilets. The water is potable! In the village, there are 3 stores within 100 meters and one local pub; there is also a public laundromat in the village!!! Restaurants are located 1 km away locally and 3 km away in Zalakaros.
The ZALAKAROS Spa is open year-round, and if you wish to visit the spa on the day of your arrival, tickets can be purchased until 3:00 PM, but not later!! The spa closes at 6:30 p.m. The water slides and other water attractions, including the outdoor pools, don’t open until May, depending on the weather!
Upon arrival, please look at the photo showing the access road—do NOT drive through the entrance gate to the house. You should arrive at our Stellplatz by 10:00 PM. PLEASE LOOK AT THE PHOTO SHOWING THE ACCESS ROAD TO THE PROPERTY! It’s difficult to position a trailer in front of the house’s entrance gate and then back up!
