The cottage is relatively hidden away and provides privacy, while being a short walk from the driveway and the river - if you want to take a dip in the Berounka, you can run to it in a few minutes. (By car you can get 5 minutes from the cottage, the last 200 meters you have to walk)
It's a nice place to sleep - at night it's really dark inside (if you keep the shutters closed) and quiet, maybe too much for someone who is afraid. Those who need to work can catch a signal here and use the electricity from the solar panel. Conversely, one can also switch off the mobile phone and enjoy the tranquility of the forest. You might hear a neighbour from afar or meet a stray mushroom picker during summer weekends. However, there is no road leading directly past the cottage, so you should not have people walking under your windows.
There is a double bed and two mattresses that can be laid on the floor. So two can sleep here without problems, or four with slightly reduced comfort (at night it will be really crowded, you have to rearrange the inside of the hut to fit everyone). Take sleeping bags with you - the blankets / duvets present are only for possible overlapping in winter, NOT for direct sleeping!
Further details - how to get here by car or public transport (nearest bus 30 minutes walk, train 50 minutes), how to find the cabin in the woods, where to find the keys, etc. are included in the stay instructions that I will send to guests with their booking confirmation.
The mascot of the chalet is my stuffed reindeer, hence Sobovo.

Toilet is separating - gentlemen please be careful, you must ALWAYS sit down.

- According to the analysis, the water from the well should be potable (the water analysis performed on 04/2025 did not show the presence of bacteria or other harmful substances, it is only extremely hard due to the bedrock). It is always taken before the stay from the well at the cottage into several 10L barrels - the cottage is not electrified, so it is not possible to continuously refill the water.
Alternatively, a few bottles of bottled water may be available.

- There is a solar panel on the roof that recharges the battery inside. It is enough to light a lamp or charge a mobile phone and when using the inverter you have one socket for charging a laptop. It can't power any larger appliances (over 400W), so you can leave your hairdryer and similar appliances at home.
!!!ATTENTION!!! In winter / if it is long under a cloud / if guests have arrived before you, it is possible that the battery will not have enough capacity for your needs. Please note that the electricity source cannot be relied on 100% in the cottage and be prepared for this eventuality.

Restriction of the access road
This road is practically passable for the car all year round, only in winter if it snows or freezes rain, there may be a problem with the car - in this case CONTACT the owner who will advise you what and how, or an alternative route. If you have a quad/chains, you shouldn't have a problem even in winter. However, the road tends to get muddy after rains - you may need to wash the car after your stay.

The Křivoklát region offers plenty of opportunities for hiking - Křivoklát Castle, the ruins of Jenčov, the Klíčava Dam... there is plenty of it.
STAYING WITH THE DOGS
For the dogs there is a paw towel, two stainless steel food and water bowls and a floor mat in the cottage.
Dogs are NOT allowed on the bed or mattresses.
FIRE MAKING
Although there is a fire pit present at the cabin, according to current laws, it is not allowed to build an open fire at the cabin - the site is inside the MPA and less than 50m from the forest. The host is not responsible for any fire that may be started.
STAYING IN THE FOREST
The pine trees in the surrounding forest are gradually dying. Therefore, when moving around in the surrounding forest, be careful of any falling branches and the like.
With the current warning of strong winds from the Czech National Weather Service, the owner reserves the right to cancel the stay for safety reasons.
During the possible summer drought, with the current CHMA fire ban in force, it is strictly forbidden to light any fires including your own barbecue, smoking in the forest or otherwise aiding a fire - be careful, you really are surrounded by dry wood.
Please respect the character of the site, keep the night quiet and don't make unnecessary noise.

A nice and cosy cottage in the middle of the woods. I found everything I needed here. I was a bit cold at times, but the stove warmed up the space quickly. I would love to come back here again sometime, this time in the summer to enjoy the outdoor kitchen.
A wonderful stay in the middle of nature, where you can really relax. Feeding and watching the birds right by the cottage was amazing relaxation - it's great that you can watch them right from the window.
Big praise to the owner for the perfect organization. Upon arrival everything was ready (wood, water) and thanks to the detailed manual we knew immediately what and how.
We were looking for peace and quiet with our dog here on New Year's Eve, it's just a pity that people didn't forgive fireworks and cannons even here under the cottage in the countryside. Unfortunately, the owner can no longer control that.
Beautiful land with a cabin hidden in the woods and divine peace. The cabin has everything you need for a comfortable overnight stay, the stove is easy to build a fire in and the brick chimney gets a little warm even after it's extinguished, so with a warm sleeping bag you could sleep even when the temperatures outside were around 0°.
Everything perfect. The children also liked it very much. We would love to come back sometime.
A wonderful quiet place in the woods where only birds can be heard. The smell of kerosene and wood brought us back to childhood memories. The cottage is well equipped even for bad weather. Great books, board games and bird watching right from the bed. We also appreciated the friendliness of the owner and the great arrangement.
