It’s still beautiful in Brzánky near Blahov, though evening swims are now only for the hardier souls—like Hana, Mirka, Dáša, and Petra—and on top of that, for Eva. Of course, warming up by the big bonfire and enjoying some 50% slivovice was a must. There’s plenty of wood, so we can keep the fire going all the time. Farewell to Summer, September 11–13, 26
The farewell to summer took place as a private celebration; on Friday, September 10, 26, the farmhands pulled down the last row in the hop field, and the final harvest began. The wind now whistles through the bare hop field wires, heralding Indian summer and the coming of fall.

Thank you for a pleasant weekend in the beautiful surroundings of the Elbe River. ☺️ The owner is very kind and accommodating. The property is spacious and flat, and the river is easily accessible. We went fishing, and there was even a boat available (though we didn’t end up using it).

A bike path is just a short distance from the property, and there are countless destinations for day trips—such as Mělník, Mount Říp, Úštěk, the ruins of Helfenburk Castle, and the Račice rowing canal. You simply won’t get bored here. We’re looking forward to our next visit and to exploring the beautiful places in the area.
