The cottage sits on the edge of a sunny meadow where nature becomes your best companion. It's the perfect retreat to relax, recharge and digitally detox without giving up the comforts of civilisation.
Strategic Location:
Just 2 km from the lively centres of Olesnica and Sedlonovo and only 300 metres from the ski lift! In winter, ski right outside the door, in summer go hiking or cycling. The chalet can be easily reached by car and parked right next to it, and there is also a bus stop nearby.
Convenience and Comfort:
The two-storey cottage offers a cosy kitchen fully equipped with dishes, an electric oven and a two-burner stove. The stove will keep you warm and you can prepare simple meals on it. Basic ingredients such as sugar, salt, spices, tea and even a coffee machine with free coffee are available! A massive table with benches and chairs invites you to sit in the evening.
Flexibility Accommodation:
Currently the lodge comfortably accommodates 4 people, but we are open to larger groups - just make arrangements! We are planning to expand the upstairs with additional sleeping capacity to cater for even the most demanding.
Everything for your stay:
There is dry wood, electricity, bottled water and an outdoor "tub". A well with a pump and a water tower has been completed.
Paradise for Outdoor Enthusiasts:
Directly at the cottage you can connect to the cross-country skiing trail (in summer hiking trail) which will take you to the Orlickohorská magistrála. The surrounding countryside offers countless possibilities for day trips - hiking, cycling, skiing - there are no limits to your imagination! Every day a bus leaves directly from the chalet (9:15), which will take you either to the slopes in Deštné v O.h. or to Masaryk's chalet, where you can cross the road and use the area in Polský Zielenci and more than 28 lifts! Back again by bus directly to the cottage :-)
An excellent day trip can also be to the Polish spa town of Kudowa Zdroj (10 km) where there is an indoor swimming pool including sauna and hot tub. The pool is filled with mineral water.

The cottage is right next to a local asphalt road, but parking is required next to the cottage. If there is a lot of snow, the honored visitor must dig out a parking space for their car, but we will try to have a space ready. Alternatively, the bus stop is right outside the chalet.

The cottage is in a great location, but so far more for punks :-) I hope that the price corresponds to it. Maximum 4 people. (two beds two sleeping on a sofa bed. Over 4 people you need to make arrangements - there is space, but no beds :-D

Where do the property ratings come from?
The cottage is in a good location. Ideal base for skiing. We used the slopes in Deštné and Zielenec. By the time we arrived it was already flooded and even a small snack on the table. The chalet was easy to heat and even cooking was possible. The equipment is still being worked on and when the water is inside it will be great. We were happy with our stay 👍.
Great 🙂 When we arrived and my husband saw 7°C on the thermometer, he stabbed me with his eyes and got serious for a long moment, but in the end we warmed up the hut and we didn't miss anything at all. The position of the cottage is really strategic, everything is close by. We had a baby bath with us, so at least the baby could have the necessary hygiene. The nearby road was hardly audible inside at all. All we had to do was strike a match in the fireplace and it was heating up. We had a great time.
Perfectly located chalet for skiers. Luxuriously equipped by our standards - electricity and beds, it's actually above standard :-) We went with two kindergarten children and we did not miss anything essential. Our only complaint would be that, contrary to the original information, the chemical toilet inside the cabin was not in use, which was not ideal in the heavy frost at night with children. When asked, the owner offered us the option to get the chemical toilet working and then clean it ourselves, which we didn't want to do, so we preferred to freeze :-D Actually, we would have just needed to know this in advance - we would have taken the kids potty and it would have been totally fine. Even so, it was not a major complication.
Otherwise, everything was nice - linen beds, very retro but functional furnishings, great stove. It was very cold the first day, so it took us quite a while to get the cabin above 15 degrees, but after that the heat held, even though we were away all day and didn't heat.
In the summer we might have missed the larger grounds around the cottage or been disturbed by cars, but this way in the winter we were mainly inside and there was plenty of space. Big table for board games, looking into the stove, winter comfort :-)
For beginners we can recommend the ski lift in Olesnica, the little ones had a nice ride there, the approach of the ski lift operators was also pleasant. And thanks to the owner for the tip on swimming in the Polish town of Kudowa Zdroj - the water world is not very big, but the kids had a nice time there and it was good for hygiene in the middle of the stay :-D And we add a tip on the museum in Kudowa - it's a kind of interactive playroom for children, visually beautifully processed.

Thank you for the possibility of later departure and advice on where to go:-) Fridge, oven, double boiler, coffee maker. Stove ready to burn and fragrant bed linen on the bed. Water in jerry cans. Plenty of wood available. In the future there will be a sauna:-)
The following is certainly not a criticism of the owner (no chance of him noticing this in the routine checking and preparation of the stove and bedding), but a plea to past and future tenants. We are leaving the place in the condition we would like to arrive in.
We washed some of the dishes (greasy), wiped down the greasy table, cleaned the clogged vacuum hose and vacuumed. Within reason, we washed the bathhouse (it is possible that it is frequented by passers-by, something that was not from us appeared there during our stay:-)). There were women's pads piled there, which in my opinion do not belong in the bathhouse. A lot of food from New Year's Eve (rolls and something) was thrown by the electricity pole, of course our dog discovered it after a while. I still rate the stay positively and understand that this can just unfortunately happen.
