Where do the property ratings come from?
I was very satisfied with my long weekend here. The garden is beautiful—a bit wild, but fenced in—so my dog could sniff around and I didn’t have to keep an eye on her. There’s a nice place to sit outside by the fire pit and on the patio. Even though you’re on the edge of the village and you can hear people from the surrounding cabins (just a little), thanks to the bushes and trees, you can’t see anything. Right beyond the fence on the other side are fields and a small forest where deer were grazing in the morning. It has a certain charm; I’d love to return there sometime in the summer or when the nights get warmer. Right now, it wasn’t really possible to sit outside much, which is a shame. In my opinion, it’s ideal for a long weekend; for a longer stay, I’d miss having a shower (at least an outdoor one) and some kind of portable mini-fridge or at least a cool room. I think it’s perfect for dog owners! Even without a car, it’s easy to get there by train. There are some really nice walks through the woods nearby—not a soul in sight, but I guess I was there outside of camping season :)

In the evening during our visit, however, noise from the surrounding cottages could be heard, but we still enjoyed our stay—the cottage has a great atmosphere in the evening ;-). The marina is clean, cozy, and well-maintained. I hope they’ll add an outdoor shower in the future—that would really come in handy ;-). Unfortunately, swimming in the river wasn’t ideal—don’t expect anything romantic. During our visit, the water was murky, and access to it wasn’t great. The immediate surroundings of the campground didn’t really impress us; the atmosphere of the settlement—barbecues at every turn—was marred, unfortunately, by a lot of shouting and trash left behind by visitors.
We really loved the accommodations! Cozy, clean, fresh-smelling, and furnished so that nothing we needed was missing. Plus, the surrounding nature is beautiful. We’d love to come back sometime for a longer stay. :)
