Brickworks 10: Teepee #6875

Cycle routes 2031, 2092 and 2087 cross at Cihelna. There is very little traffic on the local roads and the foothills of Šumava offer beautiful scenery for road bike lovers. In the surrounding forests, MTB enthusiasts will find something to do - we are not in the Šumava National Park, so cycling is not restricted in any way. In nearby Velhartice (about 3 km) there is a bike park with three trails of different difficulty. On Svatobor mountain, which is a stone's throw from us, there is a new enduro trail OGHMA.

Decent swimming is possible in the Bušek pond in Velhartice (about 3 km). We like to go swimming in the mountain river Křemelné in the former Frauenthal (about 18 km), or in the Otava. Either directly to Sušice or to the weir in Dlouhá village (approx. 16 km). The flooded limestone quarry near Rabí (approx. 18 km) offers a great swimming experience with breathtaking scenery.

With children, be sure to visit the edible park and mini zoo Pastvina in Divišov (about 15 km). They have lots of animals, herbs and homemade currant ice cream.

Without having to go anywhere by car, you can make nice hikes from Cihelna. Velhartice Castle and Werich's cottage in the Ostružna valley are a short walk away. In neighbouring Horní Staňkov you can check out the chateau where Jan Švankmajer has his art collection. A beautiful route leads along the red "back" to the Svatobor hill, where there is a lookout tower, a restaurant and a launching ramp for paragliders. Particularly beautiful and poetic places are in the nearby Nature Park Kochánov, we especially like the area between Zámyšlí, Rovná and Sucha.

The nearest gateway to Šumava National Park is Keply, beyond which opens up a magical world of forests, remnants of German villages and mountain meadows. It is beautiful, for example, in the Kepelský Zhůří and in the Křemelné valley around Šerlův dvůr.

V nedalekém Lešišově (cca 6 km) si na statku Pod šumavskou lípou si můžete pronajmout saunu s vlastním koupacím jezírkem. My sami sem rádi jezdíme, je to fakt pecka.

Pozemek není oplocený a na louku se často zatoulají srnky. Jinak můžete pozorovat sousedovic ovečky a možná vás ráno probudí kokrhání kohouta odvedle.

In our wine shop you will find, for example, wines from Aleš Svatos from Porta Bohemica, from Andrea Nejedlíková from Dobrá vinice, from Milan Nestarce or Zdeněk Vykoukal, but also Champagne from Robert Fleury.

Once a year (usually in April), the Šumava Rally is held through Cihelna, which is also attended by veterans. If you happen to like the smell of petrol and burnt tyres, Cihelna 10 is the perfect spot to watch the rally.

In the U Jelena inn in nearby Hlavňovice (3 km) they have an impressive cultural center, like a cut-out from the movie Hoří, má panenko. They also hold firemen's or hunters' balls here from time to time.
