The plots are located right next to a farmhouse with a courtyard, which is permanently occupied by an elderly couple. Part of the interior is occasionally rented out to guests, but there’s no need to worry about noise—the owners value their peace and quiet, and the guests are usually families, not young adults. Furthermore, the property is large enough that sounds from inside cannot be heard.
Chickens (in an enclosed pen) and geese (on the grassy area by the pond) are kept on the property. The geese can occasionally be loud and appear aggressive, but they are afraid of people and aren’t intrusive (and there are still plenty of spots available for the tent where the geese aren’t). In the evening, they are locked up in the chicken coop along with the chickens (and quiet down). In the morning, you should expect to hear the occasional crowing of a rooster.
You can set up your tent in one of two areas: on the grassy area by the pond or by the concrete water tank. You can park your RV on one of the two access roads or along the road above the pond.

Currently on the property
Kittens and goslingsAbout the middle of May, we had a cat. We have four kittens and we will be happy to show them to you. At the end of May, three goslings hatched at the same time and can also be seen. However, the geese are more aggressive because of their protection. Depending on where you choose to camp, we may confine them to a different part of the property during your stay.

toilet
- Dry toilet ("outhouse"), accessible even when the owner is away (and the yard is locked). We cannot guarantee the availability of toilet paper at all times.
drinking water
- After agreement with the owner, it is possible to draw water directly from the sink or from the garden hose. This is water from the well.
electricity
- With the owner’s permission, you can plug an extension cord out the window or leave small electronic devices inside to recharge. The 20 Kč fee is more of a nominal charge; we have solar panels, so you can use as much electricity as you like during the summer.
shower / washroom
- With the owner’s permission, you can use the solar shower in the yard (however, please be aware that there is no privacy—the shower is in the middle of the yard and has no screens). The pond and the concrete water tank aren’t ideal for washing due to the water’s clarity (but they don’t usually contain blue-green algae, so they can be used to cool off).

Greywater (shower, washing)
- There are several sumps on the property into which wastewater from the property is drained. Simply pour the graywater into one of them. More detailed information can be provided by email or phone after making a reservation or upon arrival at the property.
Chemical toilet
- After agreement with the owner, it is possible to pour the chemical toilet into the toilet in the house, provided that you do not use "blue" chemicals (the waste of the property is solved by septic tank and subsequent discharge into the field).
Trouble-free arrival even in bad weather
The property can be reached by an asphalt road. During the winter months, maintenance by the road administration may be lacking.
Restriction of the access road
It is a standard single lane road without shoulder.
cycling
There are several interesting places for a cycling trip in the surroundings. For example the castle Kratochvíle or the castle Helfenburg.
fishing
Carp and grass carp have been stocked in the pond. Fishing is permitted, but the fish must not be killed and must be released back into the water.
water sports
It is possible to get wet in a small pond on the property, in a concrete water tank (also on the property) or in one of several ponds in the area (see map).
hiking
The surroundings are quite nice and suitable for a walk. There are no marked hiking trails in the area, but the network of forest, dirt and paved paths is quite dense.
sauna/wellness
Ve Strunkovicích nad Blanicí mají veřejnou saunu.
Animals
Majitel chová slepice (včetně kohouta), husy, kočky a psa (zlatá kolie). Necíleně se zde vyskytují mimo jiné žáby a myši :-)
Other activities
We can set up a ping-pong table in the yard upon request.
If you bring a pet with you, please be aware that the owner has a dog (a long-haired collie) that has had trouble getting along with other dogs in the past. As long as you keep a close eye on your dog at all times, there shouldn’t be any problems.
There are also cats on the farm, and we would appreciate it if your pets did not chase them.

An absolutely beautiful and exceptional place with a view of the Šumava Mountains. Perfectly quiet, with nights full of fireflies and stars. Very helpful and accommodating owners!
We found the place well. Communication with the maitre d' was wonderful, proactive. Upon arrival we were taken care of including a bonus like fruit from the orchard. We experienced pets, fire rising and sunset. Highly recommended!
