What to do?
Greywater (shower, washing)
- The grey (environmentally friendly) water can be poured out at the edge of the meadow.
Chemical toilet
- Chemical toilets can be poured out by prior arrangement at petrol stations in Chomutov.
Trouble-free arrival even in bad weather
A year-round maintained asphalt road (wide enough for one car) leads all the way to the meadow. From there, you must turn onto the meadow at road level and follow the directions shown in the photos so that you do not drive across neighboring properties owned by others! The property begins just beyond the wooden fence.
Restriction of the access road
It is easily passable for caravans or motorhomes.
cycling
There are many cycling routes in the area, including the famous Erzgebirge Highway.
fishing
For holders of fishing licenses there are plenty of ponds in the area (mostly trout water).
winter sports
Cross-country ski tracks are maintained next to the meadow in winter and there is also a ski area including a ski school.
water sports
There are several peat ponds and waterfalls in the surroundings. For indoor swimmers there is an aquapark in Chomutov or Marienberg, Germany, including water slides and other wellness options
activities for kids
In addition to excellent Czech cuisine, Chata Bernava offers a playground and a small multifunctional playground.

In the surroundings you will find a huge number of mostly forest paths with beautiful views of the surroundings and in summer with the possibility of picking blueberries or mushrooms.

A beautiful and peaceful spot. Unfortunately, we didn’t arrive until after dark, and we were a little taken aback by the wooden fence, which wasn’t mentioned in the directions. Otherwise, everything was just right :-) The other visitors were in the same meadow, too. The morning was beautiful and the views were lovely, exactly as described :-)
Complete tranquility, beautiful nature, and stunning views!
A nice, quiet place. Easy to get to by car. The only problem is that there’s hardly any flat ground, so we had to sleep on a slope.
We really enjoyed our time at the meadow. It was a pleasure communicating with the owner.
We were hiking the Trail Through the Czech Republic; the meadow is just a short distance from the trail, and she helped us find a place to spend the night. It was a peaceful spot on the edge of the village, with meadows surrounded by forests—there was a magical tranquility there, and we were all alone. It took us a while to find the property, but the quick communication with the owner—who was immediately available by phone—was a huge help. Thank you!
