There are lovely spots for fishing right next to the property; it’s about 30 meters to the river through the gate. The surrounding area offers opportunities for bike rides, hiking, and family outings with children. Sheep and geese graze on the neighboring property, which young campers will especially appreciate.
Pets are welcome. A metal fire pit with a grate, a camping table, firewood, a roasting fork, and a hatchet are provided. There is also a dry toilet on the property.
Right in town, you can visit the Sázava Monastery or the Mikaglass glassworks, where you can arrange a workshop on making glass beads, known as “vinutky.” You can also arrange horseback riding, such as a one-hour ride through nature and around town for children, or a horse-drawn carriage ride for the whole family.

Route No. 0029: Kácov - Český Šternberk - Sázava
Length: approx. 30 km
This pleasant trail connects Kácov and Sázava via Český Šternberk, where the famous castle is located. It is an ideal choice for those who want to combine cycling with discovering history and nature.
Route 19: Prague - Týnec nad Sázavou - Sázava
Length: approximately 80 km
The route starts in Prague and continues through Jílové, Kamenný Přívoz and Týnec to Sázava. On the way you can enjoy beautiful views of the Sázava River and enjoy the natural scenery.
Route 11: Vlašim - Sázava
Length: approx. 40 km
It starts in Vlašim and leads through Louňovice pod Blaníkem to Sázava. On the way you will pass the Velký and Malý Blaník - two well-known natural attractions.

The route follows the course of the Sázava River and offers nice views of the valley. It is suitable for a day trip ending with a visit to Český Šternberk Castle. One trip can be taken by train.

Possibility to arrange a course of winding pearls on the glassmaking stove in the Mikaglass glassworks.

A nice plot of land, just a few meters from the river in a quiet part of Sázava. It’s a fifteen-minute walk to the center, and much less to the pub :-)
The lot is well-maintained with regular mowing and plenty of trees, so there’s something for everyone (shade or sun). Swimming at the weir is about a five-minute walk away. It’s nice to sit on the bench there. The canister for washing up after using the toilet is a great idea.
The dry toilet could use a small vestibule—the builders made a mistake somewhere, and you have to keep the door slightly ajar when sitting down and standing up, so be careful :-) But that can be solved with a screen, so overall, I’d definitely recommend it to everyone.
Absolutely wonderful for families with kids—there were even sheep that let you pet them. Such a peaceful atmosphere all around. ❤️
