Everything was just as the owner described. Plenty of space for two reservations. A well-maintained restroom with a sink. For kids, there’s a play structure and a trampoline cleverly built at ground level—it doesn’t need a safety net, and there’s nowhere for a child to fall out. For rock fans, I recommend visiting Krčma u Žraloka near the train station in Vlkovec.

An amazing place—our three-year-old son especially loved the fantastic playground. Beautiful views of both the castle and the river. A boat rental place is right around the corner (you can take the train to Ledečko and back, or take the train to Kácov and return by boat). The water pressure from the faucet was sufficient; to fill a jug, I recommend bringing a piece of hose so you can set the jug on the ground (probably basic gear—we’re just getting started). Dumping gray water into the sewer is a bit of a hassle—there’s only one drain for miles around, and it’s clogged with trash. It always drained away somehow, but it made me feel uncomfortable. The presence of people at the playground and fishermen didn’t bother us; it was actually a pleasant diversion. During our stay, the village was dead quiet (low water level in the Sázava River), so I won’t rate the services. The pub and the ice cream shop were open anyway. Thanks!
