Our homestead is located in the meadows between the villages of Zděchov and Huslenky.
Perhaps you will also be charmed by the local genius loci of centuries-old timbered houses and the still beating life of the shepherds.
One of the timbered cottages stands amongst the gnarled fruit trees covered with lichen, a traditional fruit drying house that only a few years ago exhaled the sweet smell of drying sloes or pears into the surroundings.
We have adapted the drying room so that you can have a good time here. There is sleeping space for about 4 people, a comfortable table and bench and a tea corner (kettle, coffee, tea, sugar, cups). In front of the drying room you can sit with a view of the surroundings.
The drying house is suitable for romantics and adventurers of all kinds :) Don't expect a comfortable cabin though, we left everything as it was. The temperature outside equals the temperature inside.
A grill is available for rent. Flush toilet is within 50m on our property, also utility water. Drinking bottled water from a nearby well is also available on site free of charge. You will find several useful delicacies in the stone glasshouse.
WiFi does not reach here, but most operators already have their 4G. If there's plenty of running water to feed the outdoor tub, you can refresh yourself in it, and there's also an indoor kitchen if you need it.
We will be happy to advise you on where to go, what to do in the area. If you have forgotten something, ask us, maybe we can lend it to you :)

Access to the property may be difficult in rainy weather
The road is slightly washed out by water, and the municipality has promised to repair it this year (2026). Very low cars might have a problem going up, but a normal two-wheeler can make it up fine. In winter with a layer of snow only with chains or 4x4. In the rain it can be muddy in places, but does not restrict driving up to the property, only parking up by the drying shed can be a bit of a pain for inexperienced drivers - no problem, can park elsewhere.

In the case of favourable conditions, the cross-country ski track is groomed in Zděchov and the ski lift is running. Otherwise, within 25km there is a village promised to winter sports - Velké Karlovice

There is a wooden tub with water from the local stream.New and in summer very attractive swimming pool in Zděchov with excellent facilities. Super tip for a hiking trip - 3,6km Also 17km away very pleasant swimming in Lake Balaton in Nový Hrozenkov. Natural reservoir with pebble and sandy beaches and also good facilities including beach volleyball.

All around :) On the opposite hill, admired by botanists, the Galovské meadows, over the next hill, the enchanting Pulčín rocks. Within easy reach of the Javornický ridge and the Makyta peak

Definitely :) No limits to fantasy
1) The drying room is comfortable for about 4 people. 2) Please consider bringing your pets. We don't have a problem with them as long as they don't have a problem with the surrounding animals (chickens, cats, dogs, sheep, cows).3) Please consider our neighbors and their "territories" :)4) It is necessary to arrange a time to arrive so that we can show you around and explain and show you everything in peace. If we are not on site, we are on call and will show you around the property without us being there :) A map is available on site.5) Please note that the drying room is NOT a furnished cabin. There are no windows in the drying room, there is no heating. There is a tea corner on site (kettles, teas, coffee, sugar, mugs). Otherwise, NOTHING :) But we can lend you something, or you can use our outdoor kitchen by arrangement. There are sheep hides in the sleeping area, but NOT your mattresses or other mattresses (otherwise you probably wouldn't sleep comfortably)

We were very satisfied with our stay in the drying room, an ideal place for hiking, we recommend it, as well as the excellent homemade bread.
Nice accommodation with wonderful views for the unpretentious. Nice neighbours and friendly cats.
