We stopped here on a bikepacking tour. We were able to enjoy the sunset on the deckchairs. The location is very nice. The equipment is functional and good. We were glad that there was heating in the car as it was freezing at night.
Maringotka is situated in a beautiful location, which provides a great starting point for excursions in the heart of the Šumava. We appreciated the chairs for outdoor seating, with a curious white hen keeping us company. The farm shop was restocked, so we sampled the local produce. Dog walkers have to take into account that the property is fenced on three sides only, the fourth side is forest. There is a gap between the forest and the fence for entry. So don't expect to be able to let your dog loose in front of the marquee. We struggled for a while to find the caddy, as the drawing on the map is only at Site 1. Drinking water was not prepared, but the barrels themselves were. The marquee itself is for the unpretentious. There were crumbs on the bed, an empty Sanytol bottle and a coffee bottle in the cupboard. The marquee lacks the little details that don't cost much and make the stay easier (e.g. description of the key to the bathhouse, printed map). We have not met the owners, so we cannot evaluate. However, I would definitely recommend staying here, the marquee meets everything the description says (except for the misleading description of the fencing and drinking water on arrival), the heating was surprisingly very efficient, but after experience with other marquees and plots I can't give a full rating unfortunately.
Nice marquee, I recommend to bring your own sheet, not just a sleeping bag. Also don't forget the sponge, jar and towel, we forgot and had a difficult time dealing with it afterwards.

Beautiful location, relaxed atmosphere. We were with two children (3 and 5 years old) and I definitely recommend it. Adventure lurks around every corner. I really appreciated the self-service farm shop- never had better fresh cheese. Marquee simple, clean. The heater heated it up in no time and kept it warm (we didn't heat at night, it was slightly above 0). Privacy was also ample and getting along with the owner was no problem. And the views ! 👍
