Non-traditional accommodation in the tower - touristic form. View of Šumava, Švihovská vrchovina, pastures, forests, clearings, trails and beautiful nature. Accommodation for families with children or large groups (possibility of using the whole tower). Equipment two beds and two folding beds, dishes (pots, ceramics, cutlery, cups,...). Own sleeping bag required. Instead of electricity, candles and kerosene lamp, stove for heating, gas cooker, outside dry toilet. At the lookout tower playground, pergola, outdoor fireplace with wood, large meadow, in the middle of which stands the lookout tower "Chalupská Štěpánka". It goes even in winter. The lookout tower has no electricity. The playground and the public part of the tower are used by excursionists, especially in good weather.

The lookout tower will be open on 1 January 2025 from 9 am to 5 pm. It is also possible to see the accommodation interiors. At the tower covered seating, melted grill, playground for children, homemade sausages, tea, coffee, grog, brew parking. Nearby trails 2 to 7 km, peace and nature, easy forest and dirt paths.

The upper two floors of the tower are also open to the public (it has its own entrance). The public part is SEPARATED from the private lower part of the tower. After opening the trap door (only) from the accommodation room, the whole tower including the gallery can be used. The private part of the tower is: ground floor with stones, cooking, seating and 1st floor for sleeping (own sleeping bag or even a mattress). The 2nd floor is also usable, but there is already public access to the tower, on the 3rd floor there is a gallery with a view. For large groups, there is the possibility of SLEEPING ON ALL FLOORS of the lookout tower (no chance of heating here). The lookout tower has wood for heating, stove for cooking (even a gas cooker). There are led lights in the tower (and pergola). Please take away the garbage that cannot be burned. There are events at the lookout tower, the playground is used a lot, the movement of visitors is also in the public part of the tower (I lend keys for the tour, only from the upper public part), this must be respected. The meadow is also used for camping by other campers in tents/caravans. Parking at the tower. You can arrive and leave the tower site at any time.

Our stay in the tower was absolutely magical! Our children (girls 3 and 5 years old) were equally excited about this unusual adventure. We purposely chose to stay in the winter for the romance of candlelight and a fire in the stove, but we will definitely do it again in the summer. The lookout tower had everything we needed - dishes, wood for the stove, a gas bomb to heat food, candles, drinking water, eco-friendly dishwashing liquid, and a lavor for washing dishes. As for the surroundings of the tower - great! There are clean "kadibouds" with toilet paper, several fireplaces, lots of toys and other fun things for children, a pizza oven, two shelters for sitting, deck chairs for relaxing, swings... The place is absolutely quiet (the distance from the nearest village is about 400 m - I guess, I'm a woman, I have no idea :D We had access to all the floors of the tower, including the gallery, where we could watch the stars - and there were a lot of them that night :) We will definitely be back!

Beautiful lookout tower in a nice location. The stove came in handy in the cold weather and soon warmed up the area. Everything that was needed was there.
