Everything went well—the kids really enjoyed it!
It was a great camping trip for our family. Our kids are finally old enough that we can start camping outdoors—and they absolutely loved this adventurous camping trip at the end of summer vacation, playing like little Indians. I appreciate the privacy (this is the only reservation available on the property). The only thing I’d criticize (which is why I’m deducting half a heart) is the shower, which lacks any kind of privacy screen. I appreciate having access to electricity, but it’s definitely necessary to bring an extension cord. I also appreciate the dug-out cellar that serves as a fridge—our milk cartons definitely didn’t go bad, even in 30°C heat.

We camped there in July, and it was really cold at night, so if you want to stay warm in the teepee, you’ll need to build a fire inside the tent—but be prepared for everything to smell like smoke and for it to be harder to breathe while you sleep. Another important thing to mention is that there’s a security camera on the property pointed at the teepee and the outdoor shower, which is pretty uncomfortable because the shower isn’t covered by anything and you’re visible from all sides. The water is freezing cold. You can charge your phone in the shed next to the teepee, but bring an extension cord if you want to have electricity in your tent.
